Item description & background story: 
These are authentic Talavera tiles from Spain. "Talavera" is a named used to describe dipping red clay in to a white glaze, firing it, then painting it again with a second glaze pattern and firing it for a second time. In other words, glazing twice, the first time with white glaze as a base, the second time with more intricate patterns. This technique originates in Spain, and spread to Portugal and Mexico, which are are also known for their Talavera pottery now.

The specific glazing pattern you can see on these three vintage tiles, with the yellow background, the whimsical blue brush strokes, and the rabbit motif, are the typical glazing pattern of the Toledo and Madrid region of Spain, known as "Talavera de la Reina".

These particular three tiles are used, and as such will have imperfections. Please look at the photos carefully because they are an important part of my condition description.
